Yoshitoh Asari

Yoshitoh Asari (義遠 浅利) was the assistant character designer for the Neon Genesis Evangelion TV Series. He designed many of the Angels including Sachiel, Shamshel, and Zeruel. He is also the author of the omake manga Angel Kiss which included many of the Angels.

He worked at the ministry of Finance before becoming a mangaka and debuted in 1981 with Mokusei Picket Line. Between 1986 and 1997, he produced his longest running and most popular manga, Uchûkazoku Karlbinson. Among his more recent works are Manga Science and Wahhaman.
