Trains in Evangelion

While Neon Genesis Evangelion has always had a special relationship with Warships and features a variety of Real World Vehicles, the series also has a small but noticeable connection to trains. Trains form a key part of everyday life for a large part of Japan's population, and this is reflected in a subtle but persistent manner in Evangelion, whether in the form of the Train Motif Symbolism or in the naming of Hikari Horaki and her sisters.
