"Tokyo" could refer to:

• Old Tokyo (Tokyo-1) - the original city of Tokyo, destroyed during post-Second Impact wars by a nuclear bomb
• Tokyo-2 - Japan's current capital, where the government relocated after the destruction of Old Tokyo. Location in former Matsumoto City in Nagano prefecture
• Tokyo-3 - the new fortress-city which serves as the global command center for the Nerv organization, where Evangelions are launched to defend humanity against the attack of the Angels. Built on the former location of Hakone, Kanagawa prefecture.
