"Registers as "Blue".": This isn't unilaterally the case. We get orange with Eva-03 (and Armisael alternates between orange and blue, at least initially), and green is somehow associated with Eva-00 at one point. "Blood Type Pattern" ought to get its own article.

Was it Eva-03 itself that registered as Orange, or was that thanks to how that freak Bardiel screwed around with it? I always thought it was the latter, especially since the other Angel to show Orange (Armisael, cycling patterns) was the other Angel to merge with an Eva.

Pattern Green? Jeez, I got to find this one...

I don't think Orange has anything to do with Evas specifically. Leliel initially showed up as Orange (before her ultra-thin body manifested below Eva-01). Anyway, crap for a different (and just as frustrating) article. --Reichu 15:58, 19 August 2007 (EDT)

Genetics

What I want to know is what this PWM and "inherent wave pattern" crap has to do with genetics. When that familiar-looking graph comes up in EoE (it's a real-life thing, I believe -- something to do with DNA), it says "Genetic Pattern: Compared With Known Data". OH SHI--

DNA doesn't really have a "wave" pattern, but just ignore it. I chalk it up to translation and technobabble stuff. --V 19:46, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

Cleanup?

I think I've improved this page, but how much of the real life Wave-particle stuff actually belongs here? Should I remove most of it and let people follow the links in the references to find it, leaving the page mostly about the Eva application of the term? Giving it a cursorial glance, to start with I'd put the images into a montage box (they're just kind of floating around in an ugly way), format the Ritsuko quotes so that they aren't enormous (just indenting them with : should be fine), and organize the page into subheadings. Looking a bit better. The article still feels a bit unfocused and non-comprehensive. Since the PWM idea is so prevalent in fanon, we might as well use the article to divulge some of the common hypotheses and how they've been arrived at; and, looking through Discussion, there's a hell of a lot. The article doesn't even go into why we should think anyone aside from the Angels (like Shammy) is made of this crap. Basically, the article needs to give the reader a reason to give a damn; otherwise, the inherent wave pattern stuff is best given a mention on the Angel page and nothing more. Hope this makes sense... ^_^;

Also, being a retard with physics, the more technical passages could stand to be a little more lucid. The writing quality is also a bit fast and loose in places. Additionally, I noticed that the Rei scan is labeled her "inherent wave pattern", though offhand I don't recall the show doing so. --Reichu 20:22, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
