Why are all of these NGE songs getting their own pages? --Reichu 20:45, 31 August 2007 (EDT)

Pretty much anything destinct and with a proper name gets a page eventually. --V 22:09, 31 August 2007 (EDT)
I have no idea, as I personally thought there would only be pages for the Singers of the songs only. --Sailor Star Dust 23:18, 31 August 2007 (EDT)
There isn't very much to say on many of these songs... Also, considering there will eventually be pages on the various audio releases, and some of those audio releases are rather devoted singles, we're going to end up with some very redundant material. --Reichu 23:26, 31 August 2007 (EDT)
I'm thinking there should only be articles on the "important" songs with lyrics, so we've pretty much got all of them now anyway. --Szmitten 07:33, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
It's true that for many songs there is little one can say about them, but there are exceptions; KsT is one of them, IMO. There's a lot to say about it - the existing analysis is pretty unconvincing. (For a while I was seriously entertaining the hypothesis that it's actually from Asuka's POV and this was supposed to change our interpretation; I've flipped back to thinking it's a Shinji POV but that still needs a good proof.) ----Gwern (contribs) 23:00 9 November 2010 (GMT) 23:00, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Agreed, for instance the majority of the Yoko Takahashi onces weren't used in the series and don't seem that "important". The only other important song that might need it's own page or whatever is Thanatos~If I Can't Be Yours (since EYED, Komm Susser Tod, Fly Me, and Zankoku are already covered; Tamashii doesn't seem "important" in terms of it's meaning (if any); thoughts?)...--Sailor Star Dust 08:20, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
However, I would propose a single BGM article with all of the music on it. We could also go geeky and list every occurrence of each piece.--Szmitten 09:54, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, "important" songs: that is, actually much of the background music has proper names but would never get its own article. But "important" ones like Fly Me To the Moon and this one should have their own articles; yes, we pretty much have all the song-articles we're ever going to have already. There really won't be any more (alright, maybe for something like "Beautiful World"; famous opening and closing songs, etc. --V 10:01, 1 September 2007 (EDT)

I did some minor fixes on the lyrics page; you beat me to it with fixing this one up! fyi, both lines about "killing me inside" are written as "killing me" NOT "kill n me" (or however it was) in the Refrain of Evangelion booklet. Was the latter something that the Japanese version Refrain booklet and S2 Works as well as other album booklets had? --Sailor Star Dust 15:38, 3 September 2007 (EDT)

It's "kill in me" in the Japanese "EoE" and "S2" booklets. (Don't have "Refrain".) The localized "Refrain" probably fixed it because it looked stupid, but I want to leave all the mistakes in, for lulz. (wink) --Reichu 16:03, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
Heh, that reminds me of "I couldn't live my wife without you" for the "Decade" (I think) booklet that had Thanatos~ lyrics. Also: Is it Speculation that this song's about Shinji/from his POV, or no? (Again, I'll be more than happy to remove it if you think so.) And actually, I *think* I did fix the formatting for EYED to be similar to that. If not, I'll fix it tomorrow.--Sailor Star Dust 22:44, 5 September 2007 (EDT)
