"Kill la Kill: - Trigger is no longer part of Gainax, so does it classify strictly as a Gainax reference? That's why I placed it in the other category.."

Actually, yeah, I guess since it's not technically GAINAX anymore, it could go back to the other category. Anyone else have any thoughts? --Ornette (talk) 17:44, 13 January 2014 (EST)

While it's undecided, I put it in the category "Works by Gainax alumni". That category might get a little problematic if former Gainax employees in other major studios (Sunrise, IG, etc.) insert Evangelion references into their works on their own accord. (Big "if" because I'm not that familiar with how the Japanese animation industry goes about this.) --UrsusArctos (talk) 01:02, 14 January 2014 (EST)
I get the reference to the crosses, but I don't think the Berserker Ryuko is really that obvious of an Evangelion callout. If anything, I would have cited the scene where she tears Junketsu off of her; that's reminiscent of Eva-01's break from Leliel. Nuclear Lunchbox (talk) 23:20, 14 March 2014 (EDT)
Berserker Ryuko's eyes bulge out like Eva-01's and she really does remind me of a berserk Eva. I'll add the scene where Ryuko tears out of Junketsu and Ragyo's office a little later, since as you say those are far more obvious Evangelion references.--UrsusArctos (talk) 23:42, 15 March 2014 (EDT)
Sounds good. I can get a jump on the textual description of it- screenshots are not my forte. Also, just curious- does it matter for the purposes of this wiki that we include any references about Gurren Lagann in the KLK section?Nuclear Lunchbox (talk) 18:46, 17 March 2014 (EDT)
