The Seventh Angel is an addition to the Angel pantheon introduced in Evangelion 2.0, a gigantic bipedal being that resembles a stylized clock.

Profile

The Angel's tall body is comprised of many sharply four-pronged, geometrically similar pieces. (These disaggregate when the Angel is briefly disabled, and just as swiftly reassemble themselves.) The head, atop a long "neck", is comprised of two Sachiel-like faces placed back-to-back, which can move independently of one another like the hands of a clock in reverse. A mock core is housed directly below the head. The true core is located at the end of the "tail" within the large red, many-eyed "pendulum"; this appendage swings to replace the head when it and the mock core are destroyed. Two halo-like spokes are situated on the Angel's "hips". The Angel's main weapons are cross-shaped explosions and dart-like projectiles.

The Angel is of such massive scale that Eva-02 must be sortied with flight capabilities (via S-Type Equipment) in order to pose a threat. With the assistance of a magnetic bowgun, pilot Asuka Langley Shikinami is able to quickly destroy the true core.

Name

No official name has yet been announced. In the meantime, the Angel is often referred to as "Clockiel" by the English-speaking fandom, for self-explanatory reasons.
