	106	MAN:“Place three bags in your heart...”	UrsusArctos: The correct lyrics are "three bugs" since they refer to Red, Blue and Yellow ladybugs! The song being sung is Tentoumushi no sanba (てんとう虫のサンバ, "The Ladybug's Samba"), in this case covered by Megumi Ogata (Shinji), Yuko Miyamura (Asuka), Miki Nagasawa (Maya), and Junko Iwao (Hikari) and included as a bonus track on the Neon Genesis Evangelion Addition Album. Originally released by CHERISH (the husband-wife duo of Yoshitaka and Etsuko Matsuzaki) in July 1973, it was a huge success within Japan and remained popular and easily recognizable throughout the 1990s, although I don't know if this song continues to be played at weddings into the 2020s.

	110	RITSUKO:“Ryo's late.” MISATO:“That idiot has never been on time in his entire life!” RITSUKO:“For your dates, you mean? He's always on time for work.”	thewayneiac: Interesting... Ritsuko refers to him by a shortened version of his given name, while Misato, who has been his lover, is more formal and always calls him by his surname. UrsusArctos: Ritsuko doesn't seem to mind the moments of friendship/flirtation with Kaji, but Misato uses uncharacteristic formality to push herself away from him - as it turns out by the end of this episode, not very successfully.

	117	RITSUKO:“You two act like you're married.” KAJI:“Sounds good to me, Ritchan.” MISATO:“Like hell I'd take him.”	UrsusArctos: Ritsuko tried to stealthily ship Shinji with Rei, and now she's shipping these two together (even if she's not really impressed by their relationship in Episode 21). She'd better not hold out for an actual marriage, though. Even Shin Eva, which gives them a child, doesn't let them spend any time as an actual married couple (that we know of). There's no doubt that Misato and Kaji are passionately in love and care very much for each other, but a marriage requires a level of mutual trust, caring and most importantly, friendship that exists beyond the initial throes of passion. These two are so loaded with emotional baggage that I seriously doubt they'd be able to live together as an actual married couple.
