Eiji Maruyama (b. October 23, 1930 - d. September 24, 2015) was a Japanese actor and voice actor known for his work in various Tokusatsu productions such as Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. In addition, he has a long anime voice acting career, with his more famous roles being Steiner Munchausen in Chrono Crusade and Death Phantom/Wiseman in Sailor Moon. In both Neon Genesis Evangelion and Evangelion 1.0, he provides the voice for the teacher of Class 2-A, who isn't named but is simply called "Old Sensei" or "Nebukawa no Sensei" by fans.
