Outtakes from Evangelion (Vol.1) is an album consisting of mostly unreleased songs and alternate versions of songs from the Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series, the movie The End of Evangelion, and pieces from the Rebuild movies up through 3.0. Some tracks which were previously released on S² Works have been corrected and/or remastered. It was released by King Record Co., Ltd. on July 30, 2016 with catalog number KICA-3262.

All music composed by Shiro Sagisu except for Auld Lang Syne, which is a traditional Scottish melody that is also famous in Japan (the strings section is an added arrangement by Sagisu).
