Mike Wyzgowski

Michael Dominie “Taj” Wyzgowski (pronounced "wiz-KOF-skee") is a Scottish lyricist, vocalist and guitarist who has worked with Shiro Sagisu since 1996. His primary role is to write lyrics based on directions coming from Sagisu (or a poem written by Hideaki Anno, in the case of "Komm, süsser tod" and "Everything You've Ever Dreamed"). He also contributes guitar and vocals to some tracks. Often referred to as a translator, Wyzgowski says that "interpreter" would be more accurate as he is given wide latitude in writing the lyrics so long as they express the general concepts he's given.
Wyzgowski first met Sagisu through Martin Lascelles, and ended up working closely with Loren and Mash on tracks like "Thanatos -If I can't be yours-". As Anno has continued to use Sagisu to score the Rebuild of Evangelion movies and his live-action movies such as Shin Godzilla, Wyzgowski has continued to write the lyrics for Sagisu in these works. His most recent work in the Eva universe would be the lyrics for three insert songs in Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time: "Hand of Fate", "Yearning For Your Love", and "Lost in the Memory", the latter two of which are sung by Wyzgowski.
Outside of Evangelion, Wyzgowski's most famous anime-related work might be the Bleach song "Nothing Can Be Explained", which he also sang, as well as the Berserk, Gridman and Attack on Titan franchises. He was also part of rock band T’Pau and Deacon Blue.
