EVANGELION 30th Anniversary Special Screening (エヴァンゲリオン放送30周年記念特別興行, Evangelion Hōsō 30-shūnen Kinen Tokubetsu Kōgyō) is a short animation produced by Khara for EVANGELION:30+； 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION, a 30th anniversary event held at Yokohama Arena from February 21 to 23, 2026.[1] It was first screened during the event on February 21, 2026, and was later released on Khara's official YouTube channel on March 8, 2026 JST.[2][3]

Development

The short was announced as a new animation of approximately 13 minutes produced for the EVANGELION:30+； event. The official event site credits Hideaki Anno with planning, script, and general supervision, Naoyuki Asano as director, and Kazuya Tsurumaki, Shinji Higuchi, and Ikki Todoroki as supervisors.[1]

It was presented once per day in the event's Stage Area.[2] The official online release followed an unauthorized leak of footage from the event; Khara stated that the short had been filmed from the venue, posted on social media, and then reposted using official video data before Khara released it officially.[4]
