UrsusArctos: Coming on the heels of the horrific blood and gore in Episode 18 and cannibalism of Episode 19, this shockingly adult scene did Evangelion's reputation no favors. Rumors that Gainax's budget was severely slashed as a result of this episode, resulting in them running out of money for the finale, were just that, rumors.
