As with the rest of the DC episodes, a lot of the cuts were redrawn to be as similar as possible to the original ones and are almost indistinguishable from them, while others were radically modified. The "On-Air Version" of Episode 21 present in the Renewal edition actually uses the DC version of those cuts that were redrawn with minimal changes, and simply omits the footage that wasn't present in the original OA. Exceptions to this rule will be noted below.

OA cuts fades in from black, and the credit counter goes from 049 to 048 (just like in Episode 13). In DC the counter is stuck at 999.

009 In the OA edition, Misato removes her ID and handgun together from an interior jacket pocket. The result is a little awkward, as it looks like the two items are fused together. This is fixed in the DC edition, in which Misato's ID is already on the table in front of her, and she simply removes her handgun from her jacket pocket and places it on the table with her ID.
034

Yui's expression changes and she blushes slightly in the OA version when talking about her future family life. Her face remains immobile in the DC.
035 DC zooms slightly in. The cut has been reanimated (the background is in a slightly different position)
